Do you hold a Studio 7 license and a valid Service and Upgrade Agreement - SUA? Feature Pack 2 will be available for free download at our web pages in beginning of January 2008.
Please contact your nearest reseller or Powersim Software for a quotation on purchase of SUA / upgrading of licenses.
List of features
- Database Dataset: The new Database Dataset lets simulations exchange data with relational databases (for example Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle).
- Spreadsheet Dataset enhancements:
- Summary types: The spreadsheet dataset variables now support different summary types.
- Manual transfer: Manual transfer is now supported for the Spreadsheet Dataset. This makes it possible to use the Spreadsheet Dataset offline.
- Parameters on connection variables: It is now possible to create parameters for Spreadsheet Dataset connection variables. This makes it possible to view and edit a connection variable's history.
- Represent time spans as days: The new "Represent time spans as days" option enables the use of time formatting for time spans in the spreadsheet.
- Clear cells beyond simulation end time: "Clear cells beyond simulation end time" is a new option that helps to maintain a nicely formatted spreadsheet in connection with changing simulation horizons.
- Extended bi-directional transfer support: Calculator mode is now optional when using bi-directional transfer in the Spreadsheet Dataset.
- Scatter Graph Control enhancements:
- Tail length: The new Tail length property allows the user to control the length of the Scatter Graph.
- Marker placement: It is now possible to control where the markers are placed on the Scatter Graph.
- Follow report window: The Scatter Graph Control can now be set to follow the simulation's report window with the new "Follow report window" option.
- Report interval: It is now possible to change the report interval and summary period for the Scatter Graph Control.
- Summarized parameters: Parameters with summary types are now supported by the Scatter Graph Control.
- Enable Events when simulation is paused: Events can now be triggered by user input also when the simulation is paused.
- Copy Value Action: The Copy Value Action is a new event action that copies the value from a source variable to a destination variable.
- Set Value Action: For the Set Value Action it is now possible to use other destinations than simulation variables. In addition you can use a sub selection of the variable elements as destination.
- Multiple runs: It is now possible to automatically run multiple runs, instead of manually having to start the simulation between each run.
A SUA is valid for a calendar year and the agreement is then renewed on a yearly basis. As long as you have a SUA, all future feature packs and new major versions of Studio are downloadable for free.
