Monitor performance
Increase the speed of your simulation: Ready - Set - Go ...
With the feature of monitoring performance you will be able to investigate which parts of your simulation model takes the most time for Studio 7 to calculate and thus adds most time to the overall simulation time.
View a list of all equations and see how much time was spent by each variable during the simulation. Sort the list according to the most time-consuming, then alter your equations to improve to run your simulation even faster.
Action button
With the new action button, you can give your user interface a big boost.
- Executing commands: Lets the end user run a simulation using buttons to execute actions. The actions available are; play, pause, step and reset simulation. Studio 7 provides a set of predefined buttons for these commands as well as buttons to information and help.
- With an action button you can open a message box, follow a hyperlink, set a value for a constant, copy a value from any variable to another and execute commands.
- We have provided a few predefined buttons, but you can easily design your own buttons using the property page of the button. You are given control of the state of the button, it's shape, font, line, filling and alignment. Let your imagination decide on a design for your user interface.
Adjust permanent variables in final state
With this new improvement, you may change any input value that is marked as permanent without having to reset the simulation first. This means that you can study the result of your simulation at the same time as you plan the next scenario to run.
A permanent variable is an input variable that holds the user input value from one simulation run to the next.
Function indicators
This is a real treat for all Studio 7 modellers. Function indicators gives an indication of the content within your equations. In simulation models, this gives the modeler extra information just looking at the diagram, and ease the work when developing models as well as improve understanding when revisiting your previously made models.
There will be time-related, interpolation and stochastic function indicators as well as indicators for state, scripting, control, external data, conditional initilization and to indicate if a variable is connected.
