Our extensive function library now has 12 new additions!
Do you need to sort data in a vector? Well, now you can!
From your unsorted vector, you apply the SORT function to create a new vector that holds the sorted data in ascending or descending order.
Make your decision variables deduced by the sorted vector. Assisted by the SORTINDEX function and a FOR statement, you can then return your processed vector back into its original order.
Do you need to distribute scarce resources between competitive business areas?
In most models we need to allocate personnel to different projects, divide use of expensive equipment between departments, choose which line should produce the next batch, or decide which group of patients should be admitted to free hospital beds.
This is now made much easier with two priority and allocation functions.
The PRIORITYALLOC function allows you to distribute a given capacity to a set of candidates with resource requests. You need to set your priority for each of the candidates. No candidate will be allocated more than requested, and the sum of allocations will never exceed the capacity.
The PRIORITYALLOCDISCRETE function applies the same mechanisms, but delivers integer values.
