Dataset for SAP BI Netveawer steps up a notch or two!

The upcoming Feature Pack for our suite of Studio 7 products will be launched within shortly. Several new features are included; and one of the major new features is an update in the possibilities for how to collect data from SAP BI Netveawer.

From before, you may import and export time-dependent data into the SAP BI dataset and use these data in your simulations as well as report back to the SAP BI Netveawer. You can upload data to your model whenever you like to, or run the model offline while on your business trips.

In Feature Pack 1 we have included the ability to import or export time-independent data into the SAP BI Dataset as well.

In addition, you now have two new functions that work on the datasets you import; called SOURCESERIES and SOURCESERIESTIMES. These functions lets you look into future data at a current time step of your simulation. This is very useful when you want to forecast your sales or do net present value calculations of your investments.

This feature pack will be made available from the beginning of April 2007. For all customers that hold a valid Service and Upgrade agreement (SUA or TMSU) for the year 2007, this upgrade can be downloaded for free.
