2008 March: New Feature Pack 2 for Studio 7 SDK
We are now introducing Feature Pack 2 also for our Studio 7 SDK software.
Studio 7 SDK Service Release 4 with Feature Pack 2
With this newest service release of Studio 7 SDK, we introduce the concept of feature packs for our Studio 7 SDK users. Feature Pack 2 is available for free to all users that hold a valid Support and Upgrade Agreement (SUA).
The Studio 7 SDK Service Release 4 accompanies the Service Release 6 with Feature Pack 2 for all the Studio 7 analysis software.

For those users that do not hold a SUA, the Studio 7 SDK Service Release 4 contains improvements and bug fixes which are free to download.

List of features:
New Features (Requires Feature Pack 2 access):
- New Ranges and Units collection objects available from the SimulationProject and SimulationComponent objects.
- New Simulation methods: LoadExternalData and SaveExternalData.
- Supports models created in Studio 7 where Feature Pack 2 features have been enabled. These models typically use the Database Dataset or new features in the Spreadsheet Dataset.
Improvements:
- XLDATA function now supports Microsoft Excel 2007 files.
- Improved delay functions making it easier to avoid circular definitions.
- New Dimension properties: IsNumerical, First, and Last.
- Connection variables are now accessible as Named Objects for the Spreadsheet Dataset. That is, you can use Simulation::Value and Simulation::AcquireValueHistory to get and set values for spreadsheet connection variables.
- Index variables are now accessible as Named Objects.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed probem with Simulation::State returning wrong value when loading simulations saved at the end of a run or at the end of the simulation.
- Fixed problem with unit expressions where a unit is multiplied or divided by a scaled unit.
- Fixed problem with POLICYGRID function when used inside a FOR loop.
